Want to give a good gift to a toddler? How about a baby pillow? Baby pillows can become a source of comfort and attachement for some babies.

Baby pillows are not to be kept in a crib or given to young infants under 1 years old. Doctors do caution that no pillows of any type should ever be put into an infants crib. Putting a pillow of any type into a crib with an infant can be dangerous.

Baby pillows can be used by your baby for sleeping or taking a nap They love to take them in the car with them to go traveling. Keeping baby safe at night is a benefit as well and make children feel secure.

Nowadays mothers are beginning realize that baby pillows can be useful to provide security and comfort for their baby. A baby has a very soft head and sometimes if they are left sleeping on one position for any length of time, their head may take on an uneven shape. A baby pillow can help to prevent that from happening. Mothers should be very careful in choosing just the right kind of baby pillow their child will be using.

Down pillows should never be chosen when shopping for a baby pillow. Exposure to feathers can lead to allergies in babies that are very young. The extra softness of these pillows can actually cause the baby to suffocate if their head sinks too far down into the pillow.

Memory Foam pillows seem to be the best products out now for baby pillows. They provide support and there is no danger of suffocating with one of these types of pillows.

Consumers have a variety of baby pillow types to chose from today. It is best to shop around and find the best type for your baby. Only then baby pillows that are not too wide should be purchased for use. Under Doctor recommendation, baby pillows can be used if the baby is congested or has a cold. Remember, only use a baby pillow for children over the age of 12 months. To relieve earaches, use a baby pillow.

Look for those baby pillows with vibrant colors and fun shapes. They come in many different shapes and colors. Years later the baby pillow will still be a beloved gift and loved by the child.

A unique option is to get one personalized with the name and birth date of the baby. The baby pillow will then become a keepsake after the child has grown out of it. Baby pillows are just great gifts for toddlers.
